Welcome to HMAS Castlemaine — Victoria's restored Bathurst Class Corvette

Visit heritage-registered HMAS Castlemaine and and see how crews lived and worked during wartime, witness the original engines turning over, and experience Australian maritime history in our Museum. HMAS Castlemaine is owned, preserved and operated by the Maritime Trust of Australia, a totally volunteer run organisation, and has been restored and maintained by the volunteers since 1974. The ship is afloat at Gem Pier in Williamstown, Victoria, close to cafes, playgrounds and galleries.

We have a COVIDSafe plan in place, but no longer ask for mask wearing or proof of vaccination. We do however encourage social distancing, and to help keep our volunteer crew safe we prefer to receive payment by card if possible.

Opening Hours

HMAS Castlemaine is open from 11am to 4pm on weekends and public holidays, apart from days of extreme heat (over 36°C).

Entry Fees

Adults $10, Children 5-15 yrs $5, Families (two adults & two children) $25. Children under 5 yrs free. All profits go towards the ship.
